Undergraduate Teacher Licensure AreasĪ n undergraduate student seeking a bachelor’s degree must be enrolled in the department in which he or she plans to major and must meet the graduation requirements of that department and college.Ĭurrently, there are fifteen undergraduate teacher licensure areas offered at Iowa State University. Students who successfully complete the requirements for any of the endorsement areas offered at ISU must demonstrate the skills and knowledge required of beginning teachers. All students who are recommended by Iowa State University for teacher licensure must meet the requirements of Teacher Education and be recommended by their department, college, and the ISU recommending official.
